v1.27
The tracker organizes itself — positions now sort by tested severity into Act (the three-day Narrowing exit fired, or a thesis flipped), Review (earnings today/tomorrow, an outsized spread break, hedge drift, past the tested payoff window, or a gap that converged without paying), and Holding steady. Deadlines rank first within Review, and a quiet tracker stays a plain list — no empty warning tiers to learn to ignore. A converged gap that PAID gets the friendly twin — 'gap converged — paid': the story ended your way; what remains is luck, not thesis
The header counts what matters — 'X need action · Y to review' appears beside the tracked total only when true
Sort it your way — a tracker sort control: Urgency (default), Winners and Losers (move since entry; directional outlooks by thesis-signed Alpha change), Newest, Oldest, A–Z. Repeat trackings of the same thing stay grouped in every mode
The gap breathes — tracked pairs show the Alpha gap then AND now (Δ59 → 50). The Δ's color looks forward (is the thesis still ahead: green intact, amber winding down, red over); the spread beside it looks backward (did it pay) and keeps its own color. Red Δ next to a green spread = story over, but paid. The manual walks all six combinations. Gap chips name your quadrant in words — converged or inverted, paid or unpaid — and chips now obey a hierarchy: one verdict speaks, the plain trend chip yields, so a green chip never argues with an amber one
The tracker's scoreboard — a composite strip on top: winners vs losers with hit rate, average AND median result (the median can't be fooled by one big winner), and your best and worst positions by name, each a click from its chart. Equal-weighted across open trackings from each one's entry — a health snapshot, not a portfolio return
Clear all grew teeth and manners — it's now 'Delete all trackings', set apart from the sort control, red on hover, and it asks before it acts. And an account emptied by mistake heals itself: any signed-in device still holding your list restores it on its next visit
One band instead of two broken lines — a tracked pair's holding now reads as a green band on the spread lane: gentle from your entry, a shade brighter through the tested payoff window, whose edges wear > (day 10) and < (day 21) chevrons. The lane header counts the window while you're inside it: tested window — day 14 of 21
Red means act, not bad — context-aware chip wording: the tested exit on a profitable pair reads 'exit with the win' (the rule's best case), and past-the-window on a winner reads 'protect the gain'. Same rules, same colors, honest mood
A front door — the Market tab now opens with today's read: three cards of the strongest longs, weakest shorts, and best-qualified hedge ideas (widest fresh gaps, true peers favored, heavy market leans penalized), every name one click from its full chart. First visits land here; your last tab is remembered after that
v1.26
Net β on every pair — the hedge readout now leads with the conclusion: the pair's leftover market exposure per $1 long at the shown sizing. Green near zero = a pure relative bet; amber or red = the pair quietly leans long or short the whole market, and the chip says which. On the lane header and board cards as a chip, on the ticket as a Market lean scale (a dot between short-bias and long-bias with the verdict in words) — and frozen into the tracker at entry, since betas drift. Because they drift, the tracker watches: if a pair's net exposure moves well away from your entry into a real lean, the row raises a hedge-drift flag with both numbers. The manual shows how to read it in dollars — and how to cancel it with a small SPY leg, or keep it on purpose
Movement fingerprint — a new Movement row on stock tickets: how much a name moves on a 0–100 scale (translated into a typical daily swing, so 60 reads as about ±2.7% a day), with the bar split into the share the market explains (blue) and the stock's own story (amber). Same score, opposite characters — and the contrast is what makes a good hedge
Tidier ticket — the Hedge idea row's Track button no longer floats free on narrow screens
Cleaner compare — adding a compare symbol now shows its raw price as a dotted purple line and rests the vs-sector line while you compare (it returns when the compare is cleared). Dotted always means price; the color says whose
The manual grew a Market Internals & Alpha Board section — Pulse, Alpha Momentum, Tide & Flow, Trend Posture, and the board's four columns, each in plain words — and ? links now sit on Market Internals, the Alpha Board, and the Outlook Tracker, opening the right passage in place
Tested findings stand out — every measured result in the manual now sits in its own green 'From our testing' cutout, including a new one: a red nβ chip marked front-loaded pairs in our replays (strong early, weakest by a month) — a pair-quality caution, not a hedging to-do
v1.25
Spread shock on tracked pairs — an outsized single-day break against a tracked spread's own trend now flags for review: in testing, moves that size behaved like news, not noise. Smaller counter-trend jerks tested as noise that fades — and the tested exit is unchanged: three Narrowing days make the call
A bigger spread lane — the hedge/compare lane is now nearly double height, with room to actually read
The lane's bars wear the trend — grey when the spread is quiet, green through a Widening run, red through a Narrowing run, amber at transition moments including the third straight Narrowing day, where the tested exit fires. Each colored stretch opens with its ▲/▼/◆ marker, single-day flickers stay grey, and the label counts a live Narrowing run day by day
Earnings at the lane's floor — when comparing, both legs' E marks live on the lane: amber for the focus leg, purple for the compare leg
Your tested window, visible — a tracked pair shades days 10–21 from entry right on the lane
One meaning per line style — the compare line is now solid purple; dotted belongs to the raw price line alone
The lane got an honest ruler — spread values now measure from the chart's six-month start at every zoom, so a day's number never changes when you switch windows; the axis fits the visible range in ratio, and the zero line appears only when the window actually crosses it. Track the pair and a dotted line marks your entry level (above it, the trade is paying), with the readout counting pp since entry
Urgent rows light up — a tracked position whose leg reports earnings today or tomorrow now wears an amber row in the tracker, with the legs and dates named. The one deadline a position can't wait out, impossible to miss
Board tenure now survives the day — an intraday wobble that briefly breached the grace band could quietly reset a pair's day count to 1. Departures are now decided once per day, on settled closes, the way the retention design always intended
v1.24
Hot-sector timing on Hedge Ideas — cards now note when a pair's sector just had a violent day, in either direction: our testing found entry timing around those days matters, and a pair tracked on such a day keeps the note in your tracker, which also tells you when a washout entry's tested window has passed. Information, not a gate — entry rules and the tested exit are unchanged
Sharper search — exact and closest ticker matches now come first: typing V finds Visa before anything merely containing a V
v1.23
Your tracker follows you — sign in and the Outlook Tracker syncs to your account: track a pair at the desk, check on it from your phone. Removing a tracking on one device removes it everywhere; signed-out tracking keeps working on this device as it always has
Departures, explained in place — when pairs leave Hedge Ideas, the bell and the Daily Pulse now carry a ? that opens the manual's why-pairs-leave passage, and multi-pair departure events list each pair as a link that charts it
v1.22
Track the same thing more than once, sanely — the chart marks the latest entry with a +1 count for earlier ones, the tracker groups a name's trackings together newest-first, and the ticket lists your tracked dates for the focused name, each clickable
Tracker tickers are links — click a tracked name to load it on the chart, or a tracked pair to load both legs with the spread lane up
The Daily Pulse rings the bell — each evening's fresh Pulse pins to the top of the notifications panel in its own green card, counted as unread until you've looked; once the market moves on the card greys out and shows when the next Pulse lands, in your local time
Peer rank is now Sector rank — same dial, clearer name: where a name stands within its sector, no longer confusable with True peers; tiles in that view now show the sector percentile
Agreement, counted in full — the Confidence view now tallies all ten of the engine's checks (8/10 signals), with stability as the tenth: steady behavior confirms the read, a sustained shock votes with or against it, and a fresh one abstains. Tiles mention volatility or tape only when they're working against the name — and when violent volatility is all that kept a near-unanimous read below High, the tile says so
Confidence you can open — Engine components now shows every check's verdict (✓ ✕ —) oriented to the call; tracked outlooks flag when confidence fades from your entry; and the manual carries the tested finding that near-unanimous bullish reads beat split ones by a wider margin
v1.21
Improved Hedge Ideas — pairs enter on strict conditions and now remain listed while the thesis holds, instead of dropping on a one-day score wobble; cards show days on the board and a holding tag on pairs riding out a wobble. Backtested first: pairs held through a wobble went on to outperform fresh entries
Board departures now mean something — a pair leaving Hedge Ideas signals its thesis actually broke, not that the tape had a red day; multiple same-day departures collapse into a single bell event
Your entry, on the chart — tracking a name or a pair draws a dashed marker on the CRP graph (and in the spread lane for pairs) at the day you tracked it; click it to jump straight to that trade in the tracker, which lights up on arrival. The marker lives exactly as long as the tracking does
v1.20
Track any pair you can chart — the compare chart gains + Track pair: board pairs and custom pairs alike freeze at the lane's equal-risk sizing; custom pairs get drift-from-entry review flags instead of the board's entry rules, and a note if they didn't clear the hedge bar
Track from the profile — the Hedge idea row on every symbol ticket carries the same + Track button as the board cards
Earnings inside the window — Hedge Ideas cards and tracked pairs now flag when either leg reports within the holding window, date included; spreads get noisy around reports
After-hours, the honest way — at the close the headline day-change freezes at the official print, and the evening drift becomes its own small AH number vs today's close, matching broker convention
Digest links — every event in the evening email now opens its chart on the desk directly
The recap page becomes the Daily Pulse — with a sector rotation line under the regime, leaders and laggards that click through to their charts, regime events that open the Market view, and clearer wording on past days
The manual's Back to the desk button now rides along as you scroll
v1.19
Fund drivers — sector tickets now show which members actually move the fund and by roughly how much, measured from co-movement rather than copied from a holdings sheet; SPY shows the names that track the index closest
Tracker polish — + Track stays ✓ Tracked while a pair is in your tracker (click it to jump there), every flagged row carries a ↗ that opens the chart in a new tab, and expression legs are colored by side
A face for the tab — TradeMath's mark now shows as the site favicon
Honest pre-market changes — the day-change % now anchors to the prior session's official close, and settled bars re-verify against the official print after the extended session ends; a subtle data quirk had pre-market changes measuring one session too far back
v1.18
Track the trade, not the idea — hedge pairs and Relative expressions can now be tracked: legs, sizing and entry day are frozen at the click, and each row shows the spread since entry at your entry sizing
A tested exit, on every tracked pair — we made the exits compete on replayed trades: three straight Narrowing days (or about four weeks) kept the return of the flat hold in a quarter less time with a smaller worst case; tracked pairs now flag it, alongside the day count of the measured 10–21 day payoff window
Honest staleness — tracked outlooks and expressions flag when the read has moved against your snapshot: thesis weakening, thesis flipped, leader faded, laggard recovering; a pair leaving the board is a review prompt, not an exit (tested — exiting there was far too early)
True-peer marks — ◆ on Hedge Ideas cards and expression legs when the two names genuinely move together after the market's influence is removed: a tighter hedge, worn as a label (it deliberately doesn't change the rankings)
v1.17
The market in quadrants — the Market tab's sector cards now read as a rotation map: Leading, Weakening, Improving or Lagging from position and direction together, with split and quiet tags marking sectors at war with themselves or asleep
A daily recap page — /daily carries each close's signal events, regime, hedge board and leaders for the last 30 trading days; shareable, linked from the footer and the bell
The bell, delivered — switch on the evening email digest in the account menu: days with signal events land in your inbox once, quiet days send nothing, and unsubscribe is one click
A bigger manual, and one you can search — new passages cover the rotation map, the recap page and the evening digest; live search (press / to jump in), a section-by-section table of contents, and deep links to every passage make it all findable
v1.16
Ten more names — the universe reaches 145 stocks: BBY, EXPE, WDC, SNDK, STX, NBIS, LITE, CIEN, CRWV and COHR bring retail, travel, storage, optics and AI infrastructure aboard
True peers — every stock now lists the names it actually moves with, measured from co-movement with the market's influence removed, not borrowed from a category list; peers can cross sector lines (marked ◆), and one click overlays them on the chart
Honest silences — names with no close co-movers say so instead of padding the list
A proper footer — key links, and a plain-language reminder that TradeMath is an analysis tool, not investment advice
Airlines take off — Delta, United and Southwest give Industrials a proper transport wing, joined by FedEx
Spread trend on every pair — the chart lane and each Hedge Ideas card now read Widening, Flattening or Narrowing; in our testing, spreads still widening at entry kept paying while narrowing ones did not
The bell rings — signal events now flow nightly: strength runs, leadership crossings, stretch warnings, and hedge ideas arriving or retiring
v1.14
Signal events — a bell in the header now collects what changed after each close: strength runs starting or ending, names crossing into leadership or weakness, stretch and washout warnings, and hedge ideas arriving or retiring with the reason
Dollar-template tickets — the Relative expression spells out every leg in dollars, anchored at $1,000 on the main leg; the manual walks the conversion to shares
More disciplined Relative baskets — hedge legs are now genuinely weaker or stronger names, never washed-out or stretched ones, chosen to move with the anchor and spread across the sector
Market Internals polish — the side cards and the big chart share one height, and the chart fills its panel on smaller screens
Manual grows — pair timing as a tested expectation, split vs compressed sectors, the Relative ticket, and this bell all get entries
v1.13
21 new names — the universe grows to 112 stocks: TSM, SHOP, RDDT, SPOT, F, GM, COIN, HOOD, PFE, CVS, TGT, CL, UBER, AXON, FSLR, ENPH, GEV, EQT, LNG, OXY and BKR
Energy, properly peopled — the sector nearly doubles, now spanning majors, natural gas, energy tech and carbon capture; solar and grid names join Technology and Industrials where they officially belong
Stronger data connectivity — live prices now travel multiple routes with automatic failover, and recover in minutes when a source hiccups
Seamless updates — new releases carry live data across without interruption; a small syncing chip appears only when fresh data is genuinely delayed
v1.12
Search everything — sector ETFs and SPY join stocks in the top-bar search: ◆ sectors open their sector view, ● SPY opens the market view
Peer list grows with the heatmap — the sector peers panel now uses the full height beside a tall grid
The TradeMath logo takes you home
Sturdier live data — an automatic second route keeps prices flowing if the primary path degrades
v1.11
Sharper Hedge Ideas — pairs are suggested only when both legs are early in their moves; stretched leaders and washed-out laggards no longer qualify
Richer pair cards — every idea shows both legs' scores, extension states, and equal-risk sizing
Smarter weakness reads — deeply discounted names flag bounce risk instead of avoid
Relative expressions re-sized — the same equal-risk rule as pairs, so the basket tracks the relative move
Hardened live feed — automatic recovery within minutes when the data source hiccups
v1.10
Smarter hedge-pair selection — partners are chosen for how well the pair trades together, spread across each sector
Unified equal-risk pair sizing — one rule everywhere: $1 long : $X short, both legs carrying the same daily risk
Improved dynamic beta calculation — β adapts to how a name trades
Consistent Signal Heatmap tile sizing
v1.9
TradeMath is live at trademath.com — free preview until October 31, everything unlocked
Accounts — passwordless sign-in by email link; registering during the preview locks in early-adopter pricing at launch (your badge lives on the account panel)
Hedge verdict in compare — both legs' market betas, balanced dollar sizing, and a ✓ hedgeable read on any pair; pairs served on Hedge Ideas always agree with the board
Day change is now measured from the prior session's close — matching your broker
True 1M / 3M / 6M chart windows, with year-aware dates on longer spans
Earnings awareness — E markers under report-day bars and the next confirmed date in the Context panel
v1.8
Steadier Alpha — smoother, more stable scores through the trading day
Session-aware pricing — pre-market and after-hours prints handled correctly; the last chart bar shows the session close, extended-hours drift, and a live stamp
Hedge Ideas — every sector scanned for leader/laggard pairs with beta-weighted dollar sizing; click a chip and the whole thesis loads on the chart
Context panel rebuilt — Signal, Phase, Extension, Benchmark, and a plain-language ✦ Read combining them
Refresh cadence tuned to the session — live in regular hours, measured in extended hours, settled when markets close
v1.7
Signal ribbons — ▲ confirmed strength runs and ▼ confirmed weakness print on the price path; ◆ marks the handoff between regimes
Compare mode — drop any covered name onto the chart, with a pair-spread histogram showing the market-neutral gap underneath
Operator's Manual — how to trade what you see, with ? popups throughout the app
Bigger chart, the price journey in the legend, and Alpha history bars alongside relative performance
Tide & Flow — the market's breadth pulse on one scale: today's reading and the trend behind it
v1.6
Cleaner layout — universe chooser, search and filter moved into the heatmap header; sector view now lists a sector's stocks beside its detail
'At open' baselines across Market, Sectors and Stocks — every card (and the selected name's Alpha) shows where it opened so you can see the move since the open; the regime now updates live through the session too
Finer Alpha scale — scores now spread across the range instead of bunching near the top, so leaders are easier to separate
Cap-weighted sector breadth — uses real index composition so big constituents count for more
Clearer neutral calls — a name too weak to lean is shown as Neutral rather than a faint direction
Volatility-aware scoring — Alpha is de-rated and conviction lowered when a name is unusually volatile versus its own history
Early-warning tags — ⚡ flags a sharp counter-trend move to watch; a move that persists shifts the score itself
Alpha history on the chart — bars on the right axis show how a name's score evolved alongside its relative strength
